We have a lot of new faces around the Infegy office.
Like any growing company, we’re proud of the people who work here. And we always love to share a little bit about the people who make us go.
So, this week we’d love to introduce you another new member of the team. Meet Andy Koelker.
He just jumped on board as our lead generation and sales rep and he’ll be rockin’ and rollin’ on the sales team helping persuade people like you to check out our social listening tool.
He’ll have you know: his name is pronounced Kel-ker. “The ‘O’ is silent,” he says.
Now, learn a little bit more about Andy with the Q&A below.
Welcome aboard, Andy!
Briefly describe your new role with Infegy:
I work as the main point of contact for sourcing new business here at Infegy.
Tell us a little about your background. Where’d you come from? What was your previous role and company and/or where did you you get your education/training?
I graduated from Kansas State with a B.S. in Political Science. From there I have worked for companies like Verizon, Staples, and VeriShip selling technology products and SAAS based services.
What excites you about the company and opportunity?
Infegy has a fantastic product offering and a culture that matches that. The people here are top notch and the working environment is great. Everyone here works as a team with a common goal to provide our customers the best experience possible.
What vision do you have for your role?
I am excited to show the world how Infegy can help businesses better understand their brands and customers. I envision working closely with decision makers and leadership to provide the tools they need to succeed.
Do you have a career idol or person you follow that you look up to?
Jimi Hendrix. I have never seen someone put more passion and creativity into their work.
Do you have a favorite inspirational quote about career, success, leadership, motivation or life in general that resonates with you?
"Embrace the chaos." Life has a way of throwing curveballs, but as long as you expect the unexpected everything will work out.
What do you like to do in your free time? What are your hobbies, interests and favorite activities?
I love spending time with my girlfriend Patty and our herd of animals(2 cats and 2 dogs). We enjoy exploring the rich artistic culture that Kansas City has to offer. I am also a music junkie. I have a recording studio that I use to produce and record local Kansas City bands.
What is the coolest place you’ve traveled to or best trip you’ve been on?
I was lucky in middle school, and was able to go on a two week trip across Europe with 20 of my classmates. We got to see great places like Germany, France, Amsterdam, and the UK. Traveling abroad is something I hold in high regard and I look forward to going back soon!
Where might you go for your company-bought trip after your first year?
Italy is at the top of our list! I have always loved the language, food, and culture and would like to experience that first-hand!
